Challenge
Micromobility refers to small vehicles intended for personal use that allow people to commute short distances. As these devices get faster, heavier, and more powerful, it’s important that the rules of the road keep up with the changing technology.
outcome
A comprehensive, statewide initiative to protect pedestrians, riders and drivers by addressing the dangerous rise of high-speed e-bikes and other powerful electric transportation devices on Illinois streets and sidewalks.
