Challenge
Illinois residents and businesses rely on physical IDs that are slow to verify, easy to lose, and vulnerable to fraud. Identity checks require handing over a card, manual inspection, and inconsistent security practices, creating friction in everyday transactions.
outcome
In partnership with Apple, we launched a secure digital driver’s license and state ID in Apple Wallet, letting residents verify their identity with an iPhone or Apple Watch while streamlining services and reducing fraud.
